Question and Answer

Q: How much do tattoos cost?

A:Tattoos are not as simple to price as say a car. Even cars vary in prices, what options, what color, etc. Tattoos are priced accordingly by the artist. Some artists may be more, some may be less. This is all based on the artist’s judgment of what they feel the work they produce will be valued at.

Q: Can I get my finger, inner lip, or toes tattooed?

A: Some artists may but if they turn it down it is probably because the skin on those areas don’t hold ink well at all. Those areas are prone to ink migrating, excessive fading, and all around bad healing.

Q: Do professional tattoo artists do house calls?

A: No, house tattoos done in a non professional setting are a bad, non sterile, unprofessional, and more times then other low quality tattoos. We only tattoo at our studio, professional conventions, and guest spots.

Q: When do I get to see my drawing?

A: We like to cater to one client at a time, so we can put our brains on one track. To do so we wait until your appointment is approaching to start our end of the process. Most of our artists wont show you a design until the day of. But do not worry this is so we can engulf ourselves in your design and only your design. We all work digitally so small alterations can be made on the spot. Remember our goal for every client is to create the best looking tattoo we can that is also original and flows with the area.

Q: Does it hurt?

A: Yes and No, Tattoos are more uncomfortable than painful. Yes some areas may be temporarily painful, but this is all part of the experience. We do all we can to make everything as comfortable as possible. We have movies playing all day, comfy client chairs, and an extremely fun staff to keep your mind off this temporary pain that will end in an awesome piece of art you will have forever.

Q: What should I do to prepare for my tattoo?

A: Relax and enjoy the experience! Here is a link to what we do to prepare for tattoos we get. Click Here

Q: Can I bring a friend??

A: The short answer is No, So tattoos can take hours and hours. Asking someone to patiently wait for hours in a chair with nothing to do is a lot. Not only will friends get bored and then get antsy which means they will be moving around, trying to stay occupied. They also add extra stress to both the artist and you the client when they want to go. They also may get in the way of the artist explaining something to you or in the way of other clients. Tattoos are more of a one on one experience between you and your vision, and the the Artist and their vision.

Q: Do we do piercings?

A: No, we did years ago but have since moved on to concentrate solely on the ancient art of tattoos. Yes we know on Facebook and google they list us as Tattoos & Piercings but that is a generic category that we fall under.

Q: What is our shop minimum?

A: Our artists price their own work, aswell as choose their own minimums. The pricing is listed under their name under the Book a Consult section.

Q: Do we do walk ins?

A: Small tattoos are still welcome by appointment, and most of the time we fit small tattoos in sooner then the end of our book. Here is the link to schedule a small tattoo request Small Tattoo Request

Q: Should I tip?

A: Tipping in the would of tattoos is different then other industries. Tipping is not expected, but however tipping is greatly appreciated! We put a little bit of our selves in every tattoo, we try to go above and beyond with even the simplest tattoo. We may spend time away from our families, we may stay up till midnight or wake up at 5am to draw, maybe take a class, attend a seminar, even buy new equipment just to gain a better understanding of this ancient amazing art. Tipping is our way of knowing how much you adore our hard work and effort to create a perfect illustration of your idea permanently in your skin forever.

Q: Why does the Book a Consult cost money?

A: The consult doesn’t actually cost money. However the money you leave to schedule the consult will be forwarded towards your actual tattoo. This shows commitment into the process, ensuring us you are just as serious about the tattoo as we are. Tattoos are a huge commitment from both you the client and us the artist.

Q: What if I need to reschedule?

A: Simple, we ask that you call the front desk 484-459-4833 to reschedule your appointment. As long as this does not happen last minute you will not loose your down payment. This is all explained during the booking process.

Q: I booked a consult what is next?

A: Some of our artists like to review their requests for consults to make sure they feel as the idea will match the style they are producing. After the artist reviews the idea and approves it the front desk will contact you with scheduling if they deny it the front desk will ask the other artists to see who may be fit. All of this may take a day or so. Also some artists may be temporarily closing their books to manage how many clients they may take on. Regardless the front desk will eventually contact you, please make sure your voicemail is setup and empty. We have a lot of clients we have tried over and over to schedule that have no voicemail or full voicemail.

Q: What does it mean by: “Books are Closed”

A: An artists “Books” refer to his schedule. Some artists prefer to open and close their books to control the amount of clients they take on at a time. When an artists books are closed they most likely will not respond to new clients until their books reopen. Most artists that close their books have a waitlist you can join by signing up on their personal artist page.

Q: If I join an artists waitlist am I guaranteed to get into their books?

A: No, currently most established artists pick and choose projects they feel they are suited for and/or want to expand upon. It is up to the artists discretion to determine if the clients concept is right fore them, or a direction they wish to go as an artist.
